I guess I have to give a little explanation here. There is no refining step between “flat” step 10 and “3D-like” step 11, just because there weren’t any additional steps. I just painted all the lights and shadows over the flat color. Step 12 shows the step when I switched to Corel Painter to blend all rough brushstrokes. Step 13 is color correction ( adding more blacks in shadows ) and …the signing:)
I know I usually don’t tend to post here unfinished works, but this sketch I liked so much that decided to share it with the world, which means you people. Besides, who says it’s not finished? I’ve signed here!
I’ve made into Animation Mentor Showcase 2009! What can I say guys? It’s was one hell of a surprise to find myself among all these really talented and hard-working people. Comparing to their work my animation looks pretty humble but hey I am in, that’s what matters. At least for me.
